As mentioned, the ad campaign really became popular at the time of release, as it is today. Back in 1999, Unilever and Fevicol were booming in the ad industry, and a new name came up with the ad campaign “Men Will Be Men,” which aired in 2000 and was the first TVC two years after whisky launched in India.

Like every ad, this ad was also released with another significant meaning: men in different situations were attracted by a pretty stranger, and then they lost their dignity, leading to a comedy effect. The idea worked excellently. Even today, the campaign has a very good effect on everyone.

Featuring Karan Wahi, the ad campaign also became famous, similar to the series. In a world where men continuously blame controversies on identifying women as objects in order to fulfill their lust, Imperial Blue TV is normalizing the manifestation with its ad campaign.

So, in the ad where Karan Wahi was walking in the street, he saw a pretty lady coming to him, and he suddenly helped an old woman to cross the street twice, and it was toil for the old lady to come to the same place where she was standing instead of crossing the road. So, the message behind the ad was how men try to impress a woman at any cost.

The director of the ad campaign was Abhinav Pratiman, and the campaign was creatively designed by Ogilvy. This ad is also famous today by many men and women.

3. Funny Car Advertisement:

Here comes another ad campaign from the Men Will Be Men series. The funny car advertisement created lots of comedy moments where the lead was trying to impress two beautiful girls with a luxurious car.

However, the owner of the luxurious car is another person, but the lead managed to impress the girls who had a simple and old model car. It was really funny to watch how men try to impress women in many ways.

The idea was also incorporated by the female lead of creative director Oglivy and the executive director Ajay. Also, the famous tune Pyar ki raho me was an all-time favorite in its every ad campaign series.

4. ElevatorAdvertisement:

Another ad from the Men Will Be Men series is an elevator scene where a young man rushing late to the meeting was coming out of the lift, and suddenly, a middle-aged woman came into the lift.

Then, there was a sudden behavior change in the man. He remained inside the lift, gazing at the pretty woman. He pressed the elevator switch for the lady, and they went up together with the lift.

It was really funny to see the changes in the middle-aged man’s behavior after watching the lady. The idea got really famous with the amazing idea incorporated by Oglivy.
